Your Key Measurements

Please note down the following to help us advise on size and fit: bust, waist, hip, bra size, height (without heels) and waist to floor (with heels).

How to Measure

Bust - Horizontal, over the highest point of your bust

Waist - The smallest part of your torso

Hip - The widest part of your buttocks

CF Neck to Waist - From between your collarbones to the centre front waist

Nape to Waist - From the base of your neck to the centre back waistline

Bicep - The widest part of your top arm

Waist to Floor - The length from your waist to the floor, with and without heels.

Notes

If you are uncertain, please enquire for advice by submitting your measurements. If your size spreads over 2-3 sizes, choose the biggest, though you may need to have it altered. We would recommend a custom order. These are not garment measurements.

For made-to-measure or custom orders, please also email us a full-length photo of yourself in fitted gym wear, face not shown. This helps us assess your bust size and body shape accurately before we cut your pattern.

Midnight Underwater Gown

An enchanting couture creation inspired by the mysterious beauty of an underwater dreamscape, Midnight combines intricate hand embroidery, ethereal layers and delicate three-dimensional embellishment.

Hand-cut embroidered florals and leaves are individually stitched and layered over hand-painted printed organza, creating extraordinary depth, texture and movement.

Scattered 3D floral appliqués and delicate pearls adorn the bodice, evoking the shimmering magic of an underwater garden after dark.

Designed with versatility in mind, the gown can be transformed with its matching removable Underwater neck scarf, offering multiple styling possibilities.

Design Details:

  • Size: UK 8 

  • Hand-painted printed organza

  • Individually hand-cut and layered embroidered florals and leaves

  • Three-dimensional floral appliqués and pearl embellishments

  • Matching removable Underwater neck scarf included

  • Shoulder drape sleeves sold separately - please enquire for details.

Condition: Good. Used only for an in-house studio product photoshoot. Minor signs of wear in lining train. 

ARCHIVE VAULT

Archive pieces are unique and sold in their disclosed condition. They may be returned for a change of mind: notify us within 14 days of receipt and return the piece within a further 14 days, as set out in our Returns Policy.

All outbound shipping, return shipping and all duties, taxes, tariffs and customs charges, in both directions, are the responsibility of the customer. Only the cost of the item itself is refunded.

FINAL FITTINGS & ALTERATIONS

Final fittings and alterations are available at both our London and New York locations but are not included in the price of Archive pieces. Please contact us for further information and one of our stylists will provide a provisional quote and timeline, subject to final confirmation.

MADE-TO-ORDER

Our Made-to-Order collection brings together established Hermione de Paula silhouettes and signature embroideries. Once your order is placed, your chosen design is individually made for you, with each piece created and finished by our specialist Atelier team.

Our standard Made-to-Order lead time is approximately 14 weeks. If you are working to a particular date, please contact us before ordering and we will be happy to confirm availability and timings.

Hermione de Paula uses a bespoke internal UK sizing system. Our sizes do not directly correspond to standard high-street or designer sizing, so please refer to our Measurement Guide and choose your nearest UK size.

Final fittings and alterations are not included and should be arranged separately once your piece has been delivered. If you require a more individually tailored fit or would like to adapt the silhouette, please contact the Atelier to discuss our Custom service.

SHIPPING & RETURNS

Made-to-Order pieces are supplied FOB our London Atelier, while Archive pieces are supplied FOB from their current London or New York location. Shipping, duties, taxes and any other applicable charges are not included in the displayed price and will be billed separately. Please contact us for a quotation based on your order and location.

Made-to-Order pieces are individually made for you and cannot normally be cancelled or returned for a change of mind once production has begun. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Archive pieces may be returned for a change of mind: please notify us within 14 days of receipt and return the piece within a further 14 days, in its original condition. All outbound and return shipping costs, together with any duties, taxes and associated charges in either direction, are the responsibility of the purchaser. Only the cost of the item itself is refunded.
